I am so excited today I got the Better Homes and Garden Christmas Cookies for this year. Will be making a pot of tea later and be reading this magazine from front to back and deciding what holiday baking I will be doing this year. Cannot believe its almost the holidays my favourite time of year.
Also received a dehydrator today as well. It will be a busy weekend reading and learning how to use it and preparing to return to work next week. Vacation time is over.

Well been awhile just thought I would pop in. Still in the middle of unpacking and organizing things in my new place. Been extremely under the weather so its taking longer than expected. However, I do have my Kitchenaid Stand mixer on the counter along with my Bamix,
These two appliances are my favourite items love love love them.
Once everything is settled and the pantry is restocked will get back to cooking and baking. Looking forward to making soup although in a middle of extremely hot weather right now but with fall right around the corner will be cooking up a storm.

Welcome to my blog.
I have always loved being in the kitchen. Growing up the some of the best times were spent in the kitchen with my mom. At a young age I was able to help out, whether it was on sitting on two phonebooks on a chair so I could reach the counter so I could help out. Christmas was always my favourite time all the baking, me rolling the balls of shortbread I thought I was helping out, my mom later said she hated that part and I enjoyed it so I got to do it. , Frosting cakes, cupcakes, cookies etc. Even helped with dinners even if it meant using a plastic knife. I loved the cake mixes of the late 1970's the stir and frost cake I got to do everything on my own except for putting it in the oven and taking it out. The Betty Crocker Snackin' cakes. So many good times in the kitchen even the baking and cooking disasters were fun and a learning experience at the same time. And when I had trouble learning fractions my mom took me in the kitchen and we double, tripled, or halved recipes who knew I was learning math at the same time.
Loved setting the table whether for everyday dinners or special occasions. Arranging the food on plates and making many platters of desserts. Whenever there was a gathering at our house, people always loved the desserts
With this blog I will posts about my favourite kitchen gadgets and must haves. Favourite cookbooks and I have a lot I collect cookbooks, new food finds, and how I have and am learning to adapt family recipes due to recent food allergies.
So please follow along with my journeys in the kitchen. It will be fun. Plus I am not very technically with new technology so this will be a learning experience for me as well.
